Is the facelift E39 the same as the pre-facelift? Yes. The hood sheet structure of E39 chassis is the same throughout all years (1996-2003). The difference in the facelift chassis is the frame thickness of the chrome kidneys (grilles) attached to the hood. The hood itself is common.
Does it come with kidneys (grilles)? No. This product is only the **METAL HOOD** panel. Front grilles (kidneys), BMW emblem, or windshield washer nozzles are not included; you will need to transfer these from your old hood or purchase new ones.
Will it get bent during shipping? Due to its large surface area, the hood is susceptible to impact. Therefore, it is crucial to open the packaging in the presence of the courier upon delivery and check the corners and the middle section. If there is damage, please document it.
