Is this filter heated? No. This product is only the filter body. The original "fuel heating resistor" (usually a black plastic part) on your vehicle should be removed from the old filter and installed on this new Bosch filter. Its design is fully compatible.
Is my 2016 model 116d (B37) compatible? Yes, it is compatible. Bosch F 026 402 824 is fully compatible with both N47 engine vehicles from 2011-2015 and the new generation B37 (3-cylinder) engines from 2015 onwards.
Does it need to be bled after installation? Yes. To prevent air from entering the system after the filter change, the ignition should be turned on and off 2-3 times (waiting 10-15 seconds each time) before starting the engine, or the fuel pump should be activated with a diagnostic tool. This process extends the life of the Bosch fuel system.
Is there a difference between Bosch and the original filter? Bosch is the official supplier of diesel injection systems for many brands, including BMW. This filter has equivalent quality and performance to the products installed at authorized service centers.
