This is the original BOSCH (1 987 435 582) activated carbon cabin filter developed for the new body of the BMW 1 Series produced from 2019 onwards (F40). It is fully compatible with the ventilation system of the 116d and 118i models. Thanks to the dense activated carbon in its multi-layered structure, it filters out not only dust and pollen but also exhaust gases, unpleasant odors, and harmful bacteria at a rate of 99%, creating a sterile environment inside the vehicle.
- Activated Carbon Technology: The gray carbon layer chemically traps exhaust smoke and unpleasant odors with its sponge-like structure.
- 2-Piece Set: Due to the structure of the air conditioning unit in the BMW F40 chassis, 2 filters are included in the box, both of which are used during installation.
- Health Protection: Blocks fine dust and pollen that can cause allergic reactions, protecting the health of passengers (especially children).
- Bosch Quality: Original equipment manufacturer Bosch provides maximum filtration without reducing the performance of your air conditioning system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does this filter fit the old model (F20) vehicle? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! The pollen filter for the old F20 (2011-2019) vehicles is curved in a "banana" shape and is a single piece. This product, however, is flat rectangular and consists of 2 pieces. It is only for the F40 chassis produced after 2019.
What is the difference between a carbon filter and a standard filter? Standard (white) filters only capture solid particles (dust, leaves, etc.). Activated carbon (gray) filters, in addition to that, absorb unpleasant odors and harmful gases (ozone, nitrogen oxides). A carbon filter is recommended for urban use.
Why are there 2 filters in the box? The pollen filter slot of the F40 chassis is located under the glove compartment, making it difficult for a single piece filter to fit. Therefore, BMW engineers designed the system in 2 pieces. Both are used during installation.
How often should I replace it? Bosch recommends replacing the pollen filter at every maintenance (once a year or every 15,000 km) to maintain air quality inside the vehicle and prevent bacterial growth.
