This is an activated carbon cabin filter specially developed for the new body of the BMW 1 Series produced from 2019 onwards (F40), compatible with the climate systems of the 116d and 118i models. Thanks to the activated carbon layer it contains, it filters out 99% of dust, pollen, exhaust gases, unpleasant odors, and harmful particles from outside, creating a clean air environment inside the vehicle.
- Activated Carbon Technology: Unlike standard filters, it traps unpleasant odors (exhaust, fertilizer, etc.) and harmful gases (ozone, nitrogen oxide).
- 2-Piece Set: Due to the structure of the ventilation unit of the BMW F40 chassis, 2 filters are included in the box, both of which are used during installation.
- Anti-Allergic: Effectively blocks pollen, mold spores, and bacteria that cause hay fever and allergies.
- Fog Prevention: Unlike clogged filters, it allows for high air permeability, ensuring that fog forming on the windows in winter is quickly resolved with the climate control system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does this filter fit the old model (F20) vehicle? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! The shape of the pollen filter for the old F20 (2011-2019) vehicles is curved and different like a "banana". This product (CUK 23 015-2) is rectangular and is only for the F40 chassis produced after 2019.
What is the difference of being carbon? Standard (white) filters only trap dust. Activated carbon (gray) filters absorb unpleasant odors and harmful gases due to their chemical structure. Carbon filters are recommended to prevent exhaust odors from entering the vehicle, especially in urban traffic and tunnels.
Why are there 2 pieces in the box? Since a single large filter cannot fit into the pollen filter slot of the F40 chassis, BMW engineers designed the system in 2 pieces. Both filters must be placed in their slots during installation.
How often should I change it? For your health and the efficient operation of the climate system, it is recommended to change the pollen filter at every maintenance (once a year or every 15,000 km).
