Does it fit petrol (218i / 220i) vehicles? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! This filter is only for diesel engines. Petrol models (B38, B48) use filters with a different design. If your vehicle is diesel (218d/220d), you are looking at the right product.
Does it fit both the 2014 and 2017 model 220d? Yes. Although BMW updated the engine from N47N to B47 in the F22 chassis, the design of the air filter housing has not changed. This product fits both model years.
How often should I replace it? To maintain engine performance and ensure fuel economy, it is recommended to replace the air filter during every periodic maintenance (approximately every 10,000 - 15,000 km).
