BMW E36 Front Left Control Arm (Without Bushings)

DELPHI TC551 | Without Bushings | Driver Side

This complete lower control arm is manufactured for the front left wheel suspension of all standard models of the BMW 3 Series E36 (1990-1998) and Z3 Roadster/Coupe vehicles, from the brand DELPHI (TC551). It comes with factory-installed **Inner and Outer Tie Rods**. It resolves the chronic issue of front end play, steering vibration, and wandering problems commonly found in E36s.

  • Includes Tie Rods: The outer tie rod on the wheel side and the inner tie rod (sleeve) on the chassis side are mounted.
  • Excludes Bushing: The rubber bushing (Lollipop) that connects to the rear end of the control arm is not included in the package. If your old bushing is in good condition, it can be reused, or a new one should be purchased.
  • Left Side: For the driver side (Front Left). The angle for the right side is symmetrical but different.
  • Steel Casting: Manufactured from high-strength steel casting in accordance with original BMW specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will it fit my E36 M3? **NO.** The camber/caster angles of M3 models (3.0 and 3.2) are different, so the control arm structures are different. This product is only for standard E36 models (between 3.16i - 3.28i).
Should I change the bushings as well? It is highly recommended. When changing the control arm, the rear bushings (sleeves) are usually worn out. Installing a new control arm on an old and softened bushing may not fully correct steering control. It is advised to purchase the "Control Arm Rear Bushing" separately.
Can the tie rods be replaced? Theoretically yes, the tie rod can be replaced with a press. However, in terms of cost and labor, a complete control arm replacement is a healthier and more economical solution for E36s. It also eliminates the risk of metal fatigue.
