This KAUTEK (BM-BK005) rear shock mounting and protection kit is designed for all body types of the BMW 3 Series E36 (1991-1998) (Sedan, Coupe, Cabrio, Touring, Compact). It includes the necessary Shock Tower Mount to eliminate the chronic "rear tower noise" (clunk) of E36s, the Dust Boot that protects the shock shaft, and the Bump Stop (Cushion) that prevents the suspension from bottoming out, all in one package.

Is the package a pair (2 pieces)? No. This product is for ONE SIDE. To completely renew the rear of your vehicle, you need to add 2 pieces to your cart.
Is the shock included? No. This set includes the side parts needed for the installation and protection of the shock (mount, boot, cushion). The shock (shock absorber) is sold separately.
Why should it be replaced as a set? If only the mount is replaced and the boot remains torn, the shock shaft will rust and fail in a short time. Additionally, the cushion (bump stop) crumbles over time and loses its function. The healthiest option is to renew it as a set.
