However, if oil is seeping from behind the timing cover (from top to bottom) in M40 engines, the main suspect is the crank seal or camshaft seal. Your mechanic must remove the timing cover to pinpoint leaks in this area accurately. If the oil pan is removed with a misdiagnosis, the real danger of leaks in the timing area will continue.
Oil is dripping from the junction of the transmission and engine in my vehicle. Does this product fit that area? No, it does not fit. The product in this listing is a small diameter front seal that fits only on the side with the radiator and belts, that is, the front of the engine.
