My vehicle is a 2013 Model F10 520i (Rear-Wheel Drive), will this part fit my vehicle? **IT WILL NOT FIT.** Standard rear-wheel drive (sDrive) F10s do not have a drive system at the front wheels, so there is no axle shaft. This product is only for the front drive system of xDrive (4x4) models that distribute power to all four wheels.
Only the outer axle head (CV joint) is damaged, do I have to replace the entire shaft? Mechanically, only the outer head can be replaced. However, in heavy vehicles like xDrive where the torque is high, if the outer head is damaged, it means that the inner joint and the shaft's splines are also severely worn.
