My vehicle is a 2013 Model F10 520i (Rear-Wheel Drive), will this part fit my vehicle? **IT WILL NOT FIT.** Standard rear-wheel drive (sDrive) F10s do not have a drive system at the front wheels, so there is no axle shaft. This product is only for the front drive system of xDrive (4x4) models that distribute power to all four wheels.
Only the outer axle head (CV joint) is damaged, do I have to replace the entire shaft? Mechanically, only the outer head can be replaced. However, in heavy vehicles like xDrive where the torque is high, if the outer head is damaged, it means that the inner joint and the shaft's splines are also severely worn. Replacing only the outer head usually leads to vibrations and balance issues shortly after. I hear noise from my left axle as well, can I buy two of these and install one on the left side? **NO.** In the xDrive system, the front differential is not located exactly in the center of the vehicle. Due to this asymmetric structure, the lengths of the right (Passenger) side axle shaft and the left (Driver) side axle shaft are completely different. You should order the right axle for the right side and the reference code for the left axle (FEBI 183469) for the left side.
