ELRING 302.340 | The Original

This is the original ELRING (302.340) valve cover gasket set produced for BMW's legendary 6 Cylinder M50TU (with Vanos) and M52 engines. Used in BMW E36 (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i) and E34/E39 (520i, 523i, 528i) chassis, this gasket completely eliminates oil leaks caused by hardened rubber over time. Elring is the supplier of gaskets used in BMW's factory assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

My car is a 1991 model E36 320i (without Vanos), will this product fit? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! The gasket for Vanos-less M50 engines produced between 1990-1992 is different. This product is only for Vanos-equipped M50 and M52 engines produced after 09/1992.
Are the spark plug hole gaskets included? Yes, the product comes as a set. The package includes both the outer frame gasket and 2 inner gaskets that surround the spark plug holes.
Should I apply liquid gasket? Under normal conditions, Elring gaskets are designed for dry installation. However, according to BMW service procedures; it is recommended to apply a very small amount of liquid gasket only to the "half-moon" shaped corners and the junction points of the Vanos unit.
