Can I replace it individually? Technically it is possible, but not recommended. Shock absorbers should be replaced in pairs (Right and Left at the same time). If one is new and the other is old, the vehicle's balance will be disrupted, braking distance will increase, and steering control will decrease.
Does it fit C126 (SEC) Coupe models? Yes. The front shock absorber structure is the same for W126 Sedan (SE/SEL) and C126 Coupe (SEC) models. You can also use it in your 500SEC or 560SEC vehicles.
My car bounces a lot, is it the shock absorber? If the vehicle cannot stop swaying while driving on the road and is rocking like a cradle, the shock absorbers are likely blown. If the vehicle is very stiff and thumping, the shock absorbers may be locked. In both cases, replacement is necessary.
