Window Switch Technical Specifications

• Material and Durability: High-density ABS plastic body, UV-resistant coating, and smooth sanded texture. The internal mechanism withstands hundreds of thousands of pressing cycles with metal alloy gears and a nylon bearing system.

• Electrical Performance: 12 V nominal operating voltage, low contact resistance due to copper alloy contacts, maximum current carrying capacity of 10 A. Insulation layers provide additional protection against moisture and dust.

• Ergonomics and Design: Slim profile, lightweight icon-printed surface, and optional night-lit LED. Lightly protruding button edges facilitate finger grip, providing a comfortable feel even on long journeys.

• Operating Temperature: Smooth functionality between –40 °C and +85 °C. Vibration resistance is approved according to OEM testing standards.

Window Switch Installation and Setup Guide

1. Preparation: Turn off the vehicle ignition, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Prepare a panel removal tool and a fine-tipped screwdriver.

2. Removing the Door Panel: Gently lift the inner door panel from the edges using the panel removal tool. Release the panel clips without breaking them, and remove any hidden screws if present.

3. Removing the Old Switch: Gently disconnect the socket connection. Release the handles on the sides of the switch with a screwdriver and pull to remove.

4. Installing the New Window Switch: Align the new window switch with the socket. Press until all clips make a “click” sound; ensure it is seated correctly.

5. Reinstalling the Panel: Place the panel back in its original position. Press the edges with equal force, and reinsert screws to their original tightness if present.

6. Testing: Reconnect the battery. Check electrical and mechanical functions by opening and closing each window with the switch. If there is night lighting, test in a dim environment to confirm the LED light is functioning properly.

Window Switch Maintenance and Cleaning Tips

• Surface Cleaning: Every 6 months, wipe the window switch surface with a microfiber cloth and lightly dampened isopropyl alcohol. Avoid abrasive chemicals; do not use polishing sprays.

• Contact Maintenance: If you experience a change in the pressing feel or a delay in response, measure the contact resistance with a multimeter. If resistance increases, clean with contact spray or isopropyl alcohol.

• Physical Protection: Avoid carrying heavy objects inside the door. You can apply protective tape to the panel edges to prevent impacts and scratches.

• Periodic Check: Once a year, check the button's movement clearance without removing the panel; intervene immediately if there is abnormal looseness or jamming.

Window Switch Troubleshooting and Solution Suggestions

• Clicking Sound When Pressed: There may be oxidation or dirt accumulation on the contact surfaces. Solution: Clean the contacts and lubricate with fine spray grease.

• Delayed Response: Poor socket connection or damaged wire. Solution: Remove the socket and re-secure it, check the wire if necessary.

• Not Working at All: Check the relevant fuse. If the fuse is intact, there may be a fault in the internal contacts of the switch or the wire; part replacement may be necessary.

• Physical Breakage: If there are cracks in the clip handles or body parts, it is recommended to replace them with OEM spare parts.

• LED Lighting Issue: If the lighting is not working, check the LED cable connection and the relevant fuse. If the LED module is faulty, module replacement may be necessary.
