Does this filter fit the 2 Series Active Tourer (F45)? No, it does not fit. The 2 Series Coupe (F22) and Active Tourer (F45) have different platforms. Active Tourer models use a rectangular panel filter (C 27 127). This product (C 24 025) is only for Coupe/Cabrio F22/F23 chassis.
Why is the filter shape curved? In BMW's B38/B48 engines, the air filter box is located on the side of the engine in a curved structure. Therefore, the filter is designed in a "banana" shape. This design is original.
How often should I replace it? It is recommended to replace the air filter during every maintenance period (10,000 - 15,000 km) for the engine to breathe easily and for fuel economy.
