This is the original MANN-FILTER (C 22 018) air filter developed for the new body of the BMW 1 Series produced 2019 and onwards (F40). It is perfectly compatible with the air filter housing of both the 116d (B37 Diesel) and 118i (B38 Petrol) engines. Its specially impregnated resin paper structure protects the engine from dust and moisture while providing ideal airflow to the combustion chamber.

Does this filter fit the old body (F20) vehicle? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! This filter (C 22 018) is only for the new body (F40) 1 Series vehicles produced after 2019. If your vehicle is an F20 model produced between 2011-2019, the filter structure is completely different.
Is the same filter used in petrol and diesel vehicles? Yes, the engine layout and air filter housing design in the F40 chassis are common. Both the 118i (Petrol) and 116d (Diesel) models use this filter.
Which other vehicles does it fit? This product is also compatible with; BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe (F44), 2 Series Active Tourer (U06), X1 (F48 LCI), X2 (F39), and new generation MINI Cooper models.
