Important Compatibility Note

This product is only for E36 Coupe (Single Door) models.

It is INCOMPATIBLE with the following models:

• Sedan / Touring: (Doors are shorter and framed)
• Compact: (Door structures and rear quarter glass finish are different)
• Cabrio: (Seal finish points may vary due to the roof mechanism, please confirm)

Why do the seals need to be velvet?

In E36 Coupes, the door glass is frameless, and when the door closes, the glass presses directly against the seal. The velvet (flock) surface allows the glass to slide smoothly over the seal, prevents the glass from getting stuck, and eliminates squeaking noises. Plain rubber seals cannot be used in Coupe models.

Does it cut wind noise?

Yes. It is very important for the glass to fully press against the seal in Coupe models. When old seals are crushed, microscopic gaps remain between the glass and the seal, causing wind noise that sounds like a "whistle" at high speeds. The new seal set restores this insulation.

Do I need to adjust the glass?

Since the new seals are thicker than the old crushed seals, you may feel that the glass is slightly harder to close after installation. Generally, glass adjustment is not necessary, as the seal will adapt over time. However, if the glass is too far back, a simple glass angle (camber) adjustment from inside the door can enhance its performance.

How is the installation done?

The seals are of the slip-on type and do not require adhesive. They are seated in the channel on the body. Special attention should be paid to the mirror triangle area and the finish points on the B pillar (lock counterpart) during installation in Coupe models.
