This is the original BOSCH (F 026 407 205) oil filter developed for the new generation B-Series engines (B38, B48, B37, B47) found in the BMW 2 Series F22 (Coupe) and F23 (Cabrio) chassis. It is fully compatible with the 218i, 220i, 230i, and 216d/218d/220d (post-2015) models. Thanks to its long type design (~134mm) and Bosch's superior filter paper technology, it cleans the engine oil from sludge and particles.

Will this fit my BMW 2 Series Active Tourer (F45)? NO, IT DOES NOT FIT! Even if the engine codes are the same, the Active Tourer (F45) and Gran Tourer (F46) models are front-wheel drive, so their filters are shorter (F 026 407 277). This product (F 026 407 205) is long and only fits Coupe (F22) / Cabrio (F23) models.
Do gasoline and diesel engines use the same filter? Yes. The oil filter module in the new generation "B" series engine family (B38, B48, B37, B47) in the BMW F22 chassis is common, and this filter is used.
What is the installation torque value? Since the oil filter cap is plastic, it should be tightened with a torque wrench at 25 Nm (+5). Don't forget to lightly lubricate the gasket that comes with the box before installation.
