The KAUTEK (BM-TM008) transmission mount connects the transmission (gearbox) of BMW 5 Series E39 (1996-2003) vehicles to the chassis. It dampens the twisting and vibration that occurs during the transfer of the engine's rotational power to the shaft, preventing it from transmitting into the cabin. Over time, hardened or broken mounts can cause excessive shaking in the gear lever, jolting during takeoff, and difficulty in gear shifting.
- High Isolation: Its high-quality vulcanized rubber structure isolates the transmission noise and vibration from the chassis, providing a comfortable driving experience.
- Wide Compatibility: It is a standard part for manual transmission models such as E39 520i, 523i, 525i, 528i, 530i.
- Durable Body: It is resistant to the exhaust heat passing underneath and to oils that may leak from the transmission.
- Metal Connection: It offers a secure mounting option with its upper and lower brackets that are resistant to rust.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does it fit the automatic transmission E39? While this mount can be used in some automatic transmission types (e.g., ZF 5HP19), different types of mounts may be required for vehicles with larger engines or different transmissions (e.g., GM transmission). It is best to check with your chassis number if your vehicle is automatic. If it is manual, it is 99% compatible.
Will it be a problem if I change only one? For the transmission to sit level, both mounts need to have the same flexibility. If one is new (hard) and the other is old (soft), the load will shift to the new mount and it will also wear out quickly. It is recommended to replace them as a pair.
Does it affect gear shifting? Yes. If the transmission mounts are broken, the transmission will twist under load, causing the gear paths to misalign (especially making it difficult to shift into 2nd or Reverse). Replacing the mounts will clarify the gear shifts.
