Mercedes GLA (X156) Velvet Door Seal

This Velvet (Flok) door seal is specially developed to eliminate the common door creaking and trim noises found in the Mercedes-Benz GLA Series X156 (2013-2019). Unlike standard rubber seals, the soft velvet layer on the contact surface prevents friction with the metal surface when the door closes. It completely eliminates the annoying "creaking" sound heard on bumps, rough roads, or chassis flexing.

Why should I buy a "Velvet" seal? Standard rubber seals dry out over time and make a "squeak-squeak" noise as the door flexes against the body. Since the contact surface of velvet seals is soft, this noise **never** occurs. It is the technology used in Mercedes' high-end vehicles (S-E Series).
Is installation difficult? It is of medium difficulty. You remove the old seal by pulling it out. You fit the new seal starting from the corners and tap it into place with a rubber mallet. No adhesive is required (It is a snap-on system).
Is it also compatible with rear doors? Generally, the profiles of front and rear seals are the same, but their lengths may differ. If the product is not a "Set" and is sold individually, you may need to check the length according to the door you will be installing it on (Front/Rear) or trim any excess.
