This Velvet (Velour) body seal is specially designed to eliminate door creaking (trim noises) commonly encountered in Mercedes-Benz GLB Series X247 (2019-Present) vehicles, which can reduce driving comfort. While standard rubber seals dry out over time and create noise by rubbing against the bodywork, the special velvet layer on this product's contact surface prevents friction, ensuring "silent closure" and a noise-free driving experience.

  • Anti-Squeak: Thanks to its special velour coating, it does not produce a "squeak" sound even when the door flexes on the hinges.
  • Premium Insulation: Minimizes wind noise and road noise entering the cabin. Completely prevents dust and water ingress.
  • Flexible EPDM: Made from durable EPDM rubber that does not harden in cold weather and retains its shape in heat.

Why should I choose a "Velvet" seal? Standard rubber seals can produce annoying sounds by rubbing against the door sheet due to body flex, especially in SUVs. Since the contact surface of velvet seals is made of soft fabric, no friction noise occurs. This feature is typically standard in higher-end (S-Class) vehicles.
Can I install it myself? Yes, it is of medium difficulty. You need to pull out the old seal and align the new seal at the corners to snap it into the channel. You can use a rubber mallet or your hand to tap it into place.
Will it fit the GLA or B Series? Although the seal profiles may be similar, the door perimeter lengths of the GLB (X247) differ from those of the GLA or B Series. This product is suitable for the door measurements of the GLB series.
