Why should the seals be velvet?
Original BMW seals have a velvet texture on the inside. Seals without velvet (plain rubber) create a cheap appearance and can squeak when in contact with the glass frame or interior trim. This product is produced with velvet to ensure original comfort.
Does it cut wind noise?
In BMW E87 chassis, the seals flatten over time, causing wind noise. New seals, with their full and flexible structure, completely fill the door gap, thus minimizing wind whistling and road noise.
Is adhesive necessary for installation?
No, these seals are of the "snap-on" type. There is a metal-reinforced channel on the inside of the seal. It securely snaps onto the metal protrusion on the vehicle's body. You can install it by pulling out the old seal and snapping the new one into place.
