Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are the seals velvet (flocked)?
Yes, the product has a velvet coating on the inner surface, just like the original BMW E90 seals. Flat rubber seals available on the market can create visual incompatibility with the headliner and may produce friction noise. This product is produced with velvet to ensure the original look and comfort.
Does it eliminate wind noise in E90s?
One of the most common chronic issues in BMW E90 chassis is wind noise caused by the seals losing their properties over time. This new and full-form seal set fills the door gap perfectly, renewing insulation and significantly reducing wind/road noise.
How is it installed, does it require adhesive?
No, adhesive is not required. The seals are mounted using a snap-on system over the metal channel on the body. You can easily install it by pulling out the old seal and carefully placing the new one into the channel at the corners.
Will my doors close hard?
The new seals are denser compared to the old seals that have lost their shape. Therefore, the closing resistance of the doors may slightly increase during the first 1-2 weeks after installation. As you get used to the seals, the closing firmness will return to normal, and complete sealing will be achieved.
