Is the product "Velvet" model?
Yes, this is the detail that F10 users pay the most attention to. The parts of the seals facing the interior and the roof lining are covered with soft velvet (flock), just like the original BMW seals. This provides a premium appearance and prevents plastic squeaks.
Does it solve the chronic wind noise in F10s?
The wind noise observed at speeds above 120 km/h in BMW F10 chassis is usually caused by the compression of the seals. This new seal set, which maintains its shape, significantly reduces wind noise by restoring the insulation between the door and the body to factory values.
Is it compatible with vacuum (Soft Close) doors?
Yes, it is compatible. However, since the new seals are thicker, the closing resistance of the doors may increase slightly during the first 1-2 weeks. As the seals settle, the vacuum system and door closing will return to normal softness.
How is the installation done?
The product does not require adhesive; it is of the clip-on type. Simply pull out the old seal and place the new seal into the channel by aligning the corners. There are metal reinforcements inside the seal to ensure retention.
