Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are the seals velvet like the original?
Yes, the product is made with a velvet (flocked) structure, just like the original BMW standard. It provides visual integrity with the E46's interior upholstery (ceiling and pillars). It does not look simple like flat rubber seals and does not create friction noise.
Does it solve the chronic seal sagging issue?
The most common issue in BMW E46 chassis is the seals coming out of place or sagging. This new set fits perfectly into the channel thanks to its metal-reinforced tight slip-on structure, preventing sagging and filling the door gap to eliminate wind noise.
How is the installation done, is adhesive required?
No, adhesive is not required. The seals are of the slip-on type. After pulling out the old seal, it is sufficient to align the corners of the new seal and press it into the metal channel of the body with hand force.
Do the doors close hard?
The new seals are more structured and thicker compared to the old and crushed seals. Therefore, the closing resistance of the doors may slightly increase during the first 1-2 weeks after installation. As the seals adapt, the closing firmness will return to normal, providing complete insulation.
