This product set is only suitable for Sedan chassis.

Touring (Station Wagon) models have different rear door frames and roof structures. If your vehicle is a Station Wagon, these seals will not fit the rear doors. Please check your chassis type before placing an order.

Are the seals velvet (flocked)?

Yes. This is the most sensitive issue for E39 owners. The parts of the product facing the interior must be velvet-covered to match the vehicle's original roof and pillar upholstery. They do not look simple like flat rubber seals and do not produce noise.

Does it eliminate wind noise?

In E39 chassis, the aging of seals can cause sagging (loss of properties), leading to chronic wind noise. The new seal set minimizes wind whistling and external noises by providing insulation between the door and the body.

Is installation difficult, does it require adhesive?

The seals are installed using a slip-over system onto the metal channel on the body. No adhesive (such as Bali, etc.) is needed. Simply remove the old seal and carefully fit the new one into the channel at the corners.

Will the door closing sound change?

Yes. Since the new seals are thicker, a more solid sound will be heard when the door closes instead of a metallic sound. For the first 1-2 weeks, you may need to close the doors a bit harder until the seals adjust, which indicates the quality and fullness of the material.
